The Via Alpina goes from Vaduz to Montreux.

The 8th stage, Engelberg-Engstlenalp, passes directly by the Bärghuis Jochpass.

Total length of the hike: 370km, altitude difference: 24'000m, 14 alpine passes, 19 stages. Character: mountain trails (T2), some passages (T3)

At the fountain, in front of the stairs up to the restaurant, is the stamp station for the Via Alpina booklet.

The Jochpass offers an ideal stopover. Be it for a fortifying lunch, coffee break, homemade fruit cake or even for an overnight stay. Hiking time from Engelberg to Jochpass about 4 hours and from Jochpass to Engstlenalp about 1 hour.

10-bedgrouproom:

A good possibility as a single person, smaller or bigger group to stay overnight a bit cheaper, but without giving up a good Jochpass time! The price includes a delicious 4-course dinner and a hearty breakfast. Bunk bed Dormitory, round wooden beds, duves with pillows. There is no need for a silk sleeping bag. Shower/WC on the floor.
