General Terms and Conditions

Individual and group hotel room reservations

1. services
1.1 All arrangements include, unless specifically noted, the following basic services:
- Overnight stay in a room of the corresponding category
- Breakfast, dinner, service, value added tax, visitor's tax.
The following services are not included in the arrangements:
- Parking at Titlis valley station, luggage transport, tickets.

2. If you book via the Bärghuis Jochpass website, we get discount from 1.5-5% discount on the regular room rate. The earlier you book, the more discount you get. This discount is only available for online bookings via the Jochpass homepage. www.jochpass.ch. The discount is already included in the price. For bookings by phone or e-mail the regular room rate applies. In order to complete the reservation, the amount due must be paid by credit card. A homepage booking in combination with voucher payment is not possible. It is not possible to change or cancel the reservation to another date of stay online. If there is a change in the date of stay, the number of people or a person reallocation of the rooms, an adjustment is only possible via phone or e-mail and the discount will be forfeited. In case of early cancellation and if no alternative date is available, the amount will be refunded to the credit card. Please note the cancellation policy.

2.1 For an overnight stay over New Year's Eve there is a surcharge of CHF 60.00 per adult person and CHF 50.00 per child. In case of a booking via the homepage with reduction, this surcharge is not yet included. There is no reduction on these surcharges. There is a minimum stay over New Year's Eve of 2 nights.

3. Cancellation conditions winter Cancellation of individual room reservations, group room reservations and changes in the number of persons in group room reservations - We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance.

3.1 If you are unable to commence the trip or arrive or depart early, the following charges will apply: -For bookings between Friday-Sunday, up to 14 days prior to arrival and from Sunday-Thursday, up to 7 days prior to arrival, no cancellation charges. -Less than 14/7 days prior to arrival, 50% of the total cost of your reservation excluding additional services. In case of cancellation on the day of arrival or no-show, we charge 100% of the total cost of your reservation without additional services.

3.2 Cancellation conditions for groups of 10 or more persons: Up to 6 weeks before arrival, a cancellation is free of charge.-By 14 days before arrival, a reduction in the total number of people up to 20%, free of charge. If the 20% is exceeded, we charge 50% of the reservation price of the respective persons. -Less than 14 days before arrival, we charge 50% of the reservation costs in case of cancellation or change. In case of cancellation on the day of arrival or no-show, we charge 100% of the costs.

3.3 If the Bärghuis Jochpass cannot be reached due to suspension of railroad activities because of bad weather (storm/avalanche danger) the following applies: -Bärghuis Jochpass will organize a substitute transport if possible. -If a replacement transport is not possible, the reservation will be cancelled free of charge. In the case of longer stays, only those nights will be cancelled free of charge in which the journey was not possible due to storm or avalanche danger.

4. Corona: As of 1st April 2022, the Federal Council has ended the "special situation" in Switzerland and the last Corona measures have been lifted. There is no longer a mask obligation. Anyone who wishes may wear a mask at any time. Infected persons no longer have to go into isolation. Furthermore, there are no entry requirements into Switzerland. Should the Bärghuis Jochpass not be able to open due to a lockdown, a postponement or cancellation of the stay is possible until the morning of the day of arrival. Please inform yourself about the current status on www.bag.admin.ch. The regulations can change constantly.

5. Dogs: If you want to take your well behaved dog with you, this must be notified in advance to Bärghuis Jochpass. And is only possible as long as a "dog room" is available. CHF 15.00 per dog/night. In the restaurant the 4-legged darlings are also welcome.

6. Cancellation conditions summer
Cancellation of individual room reservations, group room reservations and changes in the number of persons in group room reservations - We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance.

6.1 If you cannot start the trip or arrive or depart early, the following costs are due: -For reservations from Saturday to Sunday , up to 7 days before arrival, no cancellation costs.
-Less than 7 days before arrival, 50% of the total cost of your reservation.
-Reservations from Sunday to Friday, until 2 days before arrival, no cancellation fee.
-Less than 2 days before arrival, 50% of the total cost of your reservation.
In case of cancellation on the day of arrival or no-show, we charge 100% of the total cost of your reservation.

6.2 Cancellation conditions for groups of 10 or more persons: Up to 6 weeks before arrival, a cancellation is free of charge.-Up to 7 days before arrival, a reduction in the total number of people up to 20%, free of charge. 7. further conditions
7.1 All offers are valid on request and subject to availability and must be reconfirmed by the Bärghuis Jochpass.

7.2 Services not used cannot be refunded.

7.3 The Bärghuis Jochpass accepts no liability for services provided by third parties, such as excursions, concerts and other activities.

7.4 Check-in time is from 15.00 to 16.30. Check-out time is at 10.00 am. A room for storing luggage is available.

7.5  Due to the abolition of the Corona measures from 17th 02.2022, the sauna slots for sole use of 30 minutes have been abolished. Admission possible as long as sauna bags are available. Available at the reception. One-time fee of CHF 10.00 per person. On warm summer/autumn days, the sauna is only heated on reservation.

7.6 Ski pass: According to the principle, who books early, benefits. Price overview & purchase of tickets at: www.titlis.ch/skitickets These ski passes are not cancellable and cannot be postponed to another date. Except in case of illness and accident with doctor's certificate, from 2-day ski pass. Refunds will only be made via Titlis value voucher for the person concerned, but not for other persons. If you ski only the valley run to Engelberg on the day of departure, you do not need a ski pass for this day. Possibly at the start & end of the season the valley run might be closed due to lack of snow.
-Group skipass: If tickets are purchased in advance via the web shop, they are cheaper than the group rate. The closer the stay, the more likely it is that the group rate will be cheaper. All tickets must be collected from the ticket office by one person on the day of arrival, otherwise the group rate does not apply. Refunds for tickets ordered are only given in the event of illness or accident with a doctor's certificate. No-shows will be charged.

7.7The prices indicated in Euro are indicative. The daily exchange rate is valid.

7.8 Bärghaus Jochpass reserves the right to change prices.

7.9 Changes to these general terms and conditions must be made in writing.
